Description
The description of the artist field in the creation table is "named artist for the creation". The description on the GUI is "featured artist", which is common sense for someone who isn't part of the band but responsible for vocals as a guest singer, for example. If so, isn't contributions a sufficient place to have this documented?
One function that makes sense would be to conceive the field als 'associated' or 'default' artist, so a release artist can be preselected when creating a release out of a creation.

Just rename to 'Artist', in musicbrainz and discogs it is also just 'Artist'.
